XCLN: Pasting Text Into a Richedit Field Fails

Last reviewed: April 2, 1997

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Exchange Forms Designer, version 4.0

SYMPTOMS

When you paste text into a Richedit field that exceeds the maximum number of characters that the Richedit field can display, you will lose the formatting on part or all of the text that was pasted into the Richedit field.

MORE INFORMATION

This is by design. The problem occurs when formatted text is pasted into a richedit field that has a character limit, and that limit is exceeded. The characters that are chopped off can either be characters or RTF tags. You will not see this problem if the text is typed directly into the richedit field on the Eform.
