SUMMARY

In Microsoft Exchange Windows clients, the following error will occur when a message with an attachment is saved and the options to sign and seal the message are selected:

   The advanced security operation failed. A resource is busy or you
   lack sufficient access rights or permissions.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in version 4.0 of the Microsoft Exchange clients for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
