  • Microsoft Exchange Windows 3.x client, version 4.0
  • Microsoft Exchange Windows NT client, version 4.0
  • Microsoft Exchange Windows 95 client, version 4.0

SUMMARY

When you create a new Microsoft Exchange AutoSignature entry, you won't be able to use an exclamation mark in the name of the AutoSignature entry.

MORE INFORMATION

When you save an AutoSignature entry with an exclamation mark in the name, the following dialog will appear:

The AutoSignature operation could not be completed.
The selection name is not valid.

The reason for this dialog is that an exclamation mark is not a valid character in an Autosignature name. Other illegal characters include the colon and slash characters.
