The Information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Exchange Server, version 4.0

SUMMARY

When you install Microsoft Exchange Server version 4.0, the second dialog box, in which you specify the type of installation, has a Change Directory button that can be used if you do not want to install Microsoft Exchange in the default directory. This is the only place where you can change the location in which the Exchange Server and Books Online are installed.

If you choose Complete/Custom as the type of installation, the next screen will also display a Change Directory button. However, this button will only be enabled if the Microsoft Exchange Administrator Option is highlighted. You can change the location of the Administrator program here, not the Server or Books Online.
