XCLN: New Profile Defaults to Emptying Deleted Items folder

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When a new profile is created, it will be set to delete all mail in the Deleted Items folder when the user logs out of the Microsoft Exchange Windows client.

MORE INFORMATION

This is the Empty the 'Deleted Items' folder upon exiting option that users can change from the Microsoft Exchange Windows client by clicking Tools, Options, and then clicking the box.

Even though the Warn before permanently deleting items option is also set, users will not be warned that the folder is being emptied.

CAUSE

This is by design and is a result of customer requests.
