SYMPTOMSWhen you start the Windows 95 Exchange client, you may receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.If you click the Details button, additional information such as the following will appear:
Exchange32 caused an invalid page fault in module......(the module specified will vary) CAUSEYour Windows 95 password file has become corrupt.
RESOLUTIONRename your Windows 95 password (.PWL) file, and exit Windows 95. When you reenter Windows 95, a new password file will be created. To rename the *.PWL file, follow these steps:

DIR *.PWL and press Enter.5. Using the filename that is returned, type:
REN <filename>.PWL <filename>.OLD and press Enter.6. Type EXIT and press Enter. 7. Restart the computer.
