XCLN: System 11 Bomb When Printing

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print from the Microsoft Exchange Macintosh client, the system crashes with System 11 bomb.

CAUSE

A printer driver was not selected in the Chooser.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem:

  1. On the Apple menu, click the Chooser.

  2. In the Chooser, select a printer driver (for example, Laser Writer)

Note: If you select the printer driver, but no printer, the print monitor will give you the error message that no printer is selected.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Exchange Macintosh client version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
