XCON: Message Stuck in MTA When Using RAS Connector

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to send a message via a Microsoft Exchange RAS Connector and the Phone Book Entry field of the connector's property page contains a Chinese character, the message will remain in the Microsoft Exchange Message Transfer Agent (MTA) and will not be delivered to the recipient.

WORKAROUND

Replace the Chinese character with an English character.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
