XCLN: PST File Cannot Be Accessed Running NetWare Client 32

SYMPTOMS

When you try to access a personal store file (.pst file) that is located on a NetWare Server, you may receive one of the following error messages:

   The command you specified could not be carried out. The file
   <path>\mailbox.pst could not be accessed because another workstation has
   modified it. Close and then restart all mail-enabled applications.

   The set of folders could not be opened. The file <path>\mailbox.pst
   could not be accessed because another workstation has modified it.

WORKAROUND

Install the Microsoft client for NetWare networks.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is an intermittent problem within the NetWare client 32 for Windows 95 redirector and is currently working with Novell to correct this.
