SYMPTOMSIf you are using the Web client and attempt to send mail from a mailbox that has exceeded its Prohibit Send storage limit, the following error message occurs:
Failed to send message. CAUSE
This error can occur if the following conditions are met:
WORKAROUNDWhen you use the Web client, do not set the Prohibit Send storage limit for mailboxes.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen you use the Microsoft Exchange Client or Outlook Client to send mail from a mailbox that has exceeded the Prohibit Send storage limit, the following error message occurs:
You have exceeded the storage limit on your mailbox. Delete some mail from your mailbox or contact your system administrator to adjust your storage limit. |
