SYMPTOMSWhen you are running ESEUTIL /g on the directory store or information store, the following error may occur:
- 1022 indicating disk I/O errorThis occurs when InocuLAN anti-virus software is installed on a computer running Windows NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 3 and running Exchange 5.5. InocuLAN installs a file system filter that disables the JET engine ESE97 from addressing database files.
RESOLUTIONPerform one of the following to resolve this problem:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for more information.
