SYMPTOMSIf you attempt to send an X.400 message that contains several very long lines of text with no line feeds or carriage returns, the message may not be delivered. In addition, an event similar to the following may appear in the event log:

If you are using Microsoft Exchange Server 5.0, you do not receive an NDR. This problem occurs when the X.400 Connector is configured to use the ISO 6937 bodypart to transfer messages to a remote X.400 system and is not configured for message text word-wrap.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 4.0. A supported fix is now available, but has not been fully regression-tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for more information. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0. This problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.0.
