The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you run Microsoft Exchange setup, selecting "Reinstall" or "Add/Remove" to remove the Active Server Component will fail with one or both of the following pop-up error messages:
Processing file "D:\setup\I386\webcon.uns" at or near line 16. The system cannot find the file specified. Microsoft Windows NT ID No: 0xc0020002 System cannot find the file specified. Microsoft Windows NT ID No: 0xc0020002 CAUSEThe Active Server Pages (ASP) in Windows NT were removed before the Active Server Component was removed from Exchange. A registry key that is required for the Exchange Server Setup program to operate is deleted when the ASP is removed.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, perform the following steps: WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.
