PRB: "Data Type Mismatch" Error w/ Numeric and Date Fields

SYMPTOMS

Entering data in a numeric GET field or Date field within a screen results in the following error message: 

   Data Type Mismatch

CAUSE

The field has the range defined as a procedure instead of as an expression.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, redefine the range for the field in the screen as an expression, not as a procedure.
