SYMPTOMSIn FoxPro 2.0 for MS-DOS, a cursor created using the SQL - SELECT command can have a name beginning with a numeric character. However, you cannot reference the cursor by the name you gave it.
CAUSEYou cannot reference the cursor because the numbers in the cursor name conflict with the numbers of the work areas.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in FoxPro version 2.5 for MS-DOS.
MORE INFORMATIONThis problem occurs because FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS accepts anything that looks like a filename and then assigns an alias to it. The error checking in FoxPro version 2.5 and later versions has been improved to better handle this situation.
