BUG: File "DELHAND.PRG" Does Not Exist

SUMMARY

After you have used the Catalog Manager, one of the following error messages occurs when you press the DEL, ESC, or F1 key:

   File 'DELHAND.PRG' does not exist

   -or-

   File 'ESCHAND.PRG' does not exist

   -or-

   File 'WZ_HELP' does not exist

CAUSE

In certain situations, the Catalog Manager leaves three ON KEY LABEL statements defined after exiting. These ON KEY LABEL statements are:

     ON KEY LABEL ESCAPE DO ESCHAND.PRG WITH WONTOP()
     ON KEY LABEL DEL DO DELHAND.PRG WITH WONTOP()
     ON KEY LABEL F1 DO WZ_HELP.PRG

RESOLUTION

Type "ON KEY" (without the quotation marks) in the Command window.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Run Catalog Manager by choosing Proceed To Catalog Manager in the splash screen when FoxPro first starts or by choosing Catalog Manager from the File menu if FoxPro is already running.

  2. Select the Query tab, and then choose the New button.

  3. Choose the Query Wizard button.

  4. Choose SQL Query Wizard, and then choose the Next button.

  5. Double-click the CUSTOMER table.

  6. Choose the Next button.

  7. Choose the Back button twice, and then choose the Cancel button.

  8. Press CTRL+F4, and then choose the Switch To Command Window button.

  9. Press the ESC, DEL, or F1 key.
