FoxPro LCK Requires WATCOM 16-Bit CompilerLast reviewed: January 5, 1995Article ID: Q113666 |
The information in this article applies to:
SUMMARYThe sample makefiles for building libraries with WATCOM C contain references to the LIB286 subdirectory. This subdirectory is present only if the WATCOM 16-bit compiler is installed.
MORE INFORMATIONFoxPro libraries use 16-bit addressing; therefore, they must be compiled with a 16-bit compiler. If the user has the WATCOM 32-bit compiler, there will be a LIB386 subdirectory. To create FoxPro libraries, the user must obtain the 16-bit compiler from WATCOM. This does not override the 32-bit compiler but allows the creation of executable files that run in 16-bit mode.
