Tools Menu

The Tools menu provides tools to simplify common operations on the highlighted file.

  • AutoScreen starts the AutoScreen feature. This tool creates and runs a new screen that displays fields and records from the selected table. By default, each field appears on a separate line with a label to its left. Screens created with the AutoScreen option can be modified with either the Screen Wizard or the Screen Design tool.
  • AutoReport starts the AutoReport feature. This tool creates a new report using fields and records from the selected table. By default, each field appears on a separate line with a label to its left. Reports created with the AutoReport option can be modified with either the Report Wizard or the Report Writer.
  • Mail Merge opens the Mail Merge Wizard. Use this option to create text files that contain data from the files open in Catalog Manager.
  • Settings... displays the Catalog Manager Settings so you can change FoxPro settings.
  • Beautify... displays the Beautification Options dialog so you can make cosmetic changes to your program.
  • Macros... displays the Macro Key Definition dialog so you can define and name a macro.
  • Filer starts the Filer Desk Accessory so you can maintain files and directories.
