Last reviewed: July 5, 1995
Article ID: Q114187
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5, 2.5a, 2.5b, 2.6

SYMPTOMS

If a report is printed from the Catalog Manager and the Print To File check box in the Print dialog box is selected, the report will be sent to a printer. It will not be sent to a file.

CAUSE

The Print To File check box in the Print dialog box is ignored.

RESOLUTION

Use the TO FILE clause of the REPORT command to direct the report to a file.

For example, issue the following command in the Command window:

REPORT FORM myreport TO FILE test.txt

This will direct the report to a file called TEST.TXT.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
