The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSCompiling any C source code with the Microsoft C/C++ version 7.0 compiler and the WINC7.MAK file (included with the FoxPro Library Construction Kit) to create a FoxPro for Windows API library can cause the following error:
NMAKE : Fatal Error U1073: don't know how to make \C700\LIB\LIBENTRY.OBJ CAUSEThe large memory model libraries that are included in the Microsoft C/C++ software package are not installed. LIBENTRY.OBJ is an object file that is used to build a large memory model application. Any API routine created for use with FoxPro for Windows must be built with the large memory model object files. Therefore, LIBENTRY.OBJ must be installed.
RESOLUTIONThe large memory model libraries are not installed by default when Microsoft C/C++ version 7.0 is installed. This is an optional choice in the installation process. Refer to the Microsoft C/C++ "Getting Started" manual or online Help for further information about installing the large memory models.
