SYMPTOMS

Under certain memory configurations in the Extended (32-bit) version of FoxPro for MS-DOS (FOXPROX.EXE), closing a Browse window in the Catalog Manager may cause the error message "bnormal termination," after which FoxPro quits to the MS-DOS prompt.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro 2.6 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in FoxPro 2.6a for MS-DOS.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

NOTE: This problem only occurs under specific, rare memory configurations.

  1. Start FoxPro. Open the SAMPLE.FPC catalog file located in the FPD26\SAMPLE\CATALOG subdirectory.

  2. Select the Table tab. Double-click on a table to open a Browse window.

  3. Close the Browse window.
