ERR: "Invalid Path or Filename" When Generating a Screen

SYMPTOMS

When you are generating a screen, you receive the error message "Invalid path or filename."

CAUSE

The TMPFILES setting in the FoxPro configuration file (CONFIG.FPW or CONFIG.FPM) is invalid.

RESOLUTION

Remove the TMPFILES setting from the configuration file or point the TMPFILES to a valid directory (or folder).

MORE INFORMATION

This error does not seem to occur in FoxPro for MS-DOS.
