Installing FoxPro on a Network Server

To install FoxPro on a network, you will use the Administrative Setup program. Administrative Setup allows the network administrator to install Microsoft FoxPro onto a network server in a format that best suits the needs of the administrator and of the server clients. During Setup, you will be presented with two installation options:

Option 1

Option 1 copies the floppy images to the network server folder you specify, from which users can run Complete, Minimum, or Custom installation options to install a private copy of FoxPro on their workstation.

Option 2

Option 2 copies all of the files to the network server folder you specify, from which users can run a shared copy of FoxPro from the server.

To install FoxPro on a network server:

  1. Turn on your computer and monitor.

  2. Close any other software applications that are running.

  3. Insert Install-Disk 1 into your disk drive.

  4. Hold down the COMMAND (Apple) key, and double-click the Microsoft FoxPro Setup icon. Continue to hold the COMMAND key until Setup displays the Microsoft FoxPro 2.6 Administrative Setup dialog box.

  5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

**End of FoxPro Readme - Network**
