BUG: Cannot Import 4D Files Version 3.1 or Higher

SYMPTOMS

FoxPro for Macintosh cannot import 4D files version 3.1 or higher through the Catalog Manager Data Import option. An "Error Reading File" occurs.

RESOLUTION

Use low level file functions, or save the 4D file as another format before attempting to import.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
