BUG: Define Window in Desktop Hides FoxPro When Using ALT+TAB

SYMPTOMS

FoxPro is not visible when using ALT+TAB to cycle through all running applications when a window has been defined in the desktop and FoxPro is minimized.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Windows environment and the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. In the Command window, type this command:

    DEFINE WINDOW output FROM 2,1 TO 13,75 in DESKTOP

  2. In the Command window, type this command:

    ACTIVATE WINDOW output.

  3. Minimize FoxPro.

  4. Start two other programs such as File Manager and Control Panel.

  5. Use ALT+TAB to cycle through the open applications.
