FIX: GP Fault When Clear Debug Window That Has Open Memo Field

  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, version 2.6

SYMPTOMS

If a memo edit field is opened while in the Debug Window, when you press CTRL+END to close the Debug window, a general protection (GP) fault occurs.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.6a for Windows.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Create a Table that has a memo field.

  2. Open the memo field.

  3. Open the Debug window, and type "test" (without the quotation marks).

  4. Press CTRL+END.

You will get the error "FOXPROW caused a General Protection fault in Module <unknown>."
