The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you click the Browse window of an unrelated table, the record pointer moves unexpectedly. This occurs after clicking a parent-table Browse window that is open in another work area. This only occurs when the SET SKIP TO <child table> command is in effect.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro 3.0b for Macintosh.
Steps to Reproduce ProblemUsing the sample files from the Tutorial folder in the FoxPro folder, copy and run the program listed below:
CLOSE DATA USE customer IN 1 USE invoices IN 2 ORDER cno SET RELATION TO cno INTO invoices SET SKIP TO invoices USE detail IN 3 SELECT detail GO 10 BROWSE LAST NOMODIFY NOWAIT SELECT customer GO 10 BROWSE LAST NOMODIFY NOWAIT ACTIVATE WINDOW "Customer" ACTIVATE WINDOW "Detail"Notice that the record pointer is not on record 10 in the detail table. Continue to click the title bar of the two Browse windows and notice that the record pointer moves each time the Browse window titled "Detail" is clicked.
