SUMMARYOpening a table in FoxPro for UNIX may consume more than one record lock in the UNIX kernel.
MORE INFORMATIONIf SET MULTILOCKS is OFF, one record lock will be consumed for the .DBF file, one for the .FPT if memo fields are used, and one for each index file opened. If SET MULTILOCKS is ON, two record locks will be consumed for each .DBF, .FPT, and index file opened. The total number of record locks for the system can be configured through the UNIX system administrator utility, SYSADMSH. For more information on configuring the UNIX kernel, refer to the UNIX operating system documentation.
