PRB: TRANSPRT.PRG and CONVERT.APP Reverses Report BandsLast reviewed: April 30, 1996Article ID: Q126964 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSA dBASE IV report that contains a report title and Summary bands will have the header and Title bands, as well as the footer and Summary bands reversed when transported to FoxPro by the FoxPro 2.x TRANSPRT.PRG or Visual FoxPro CONVERT.APP program.
CAUSEThis is caused by the way dBASE reports are arranged. The default positions of title/Summary bands in dBASE are between the header/footer bands. When transported, they remain between the header/ footer bands in FoxPro. They are then interpreted as the header and footer of the FoxPro report (rather than the desired title/summary).
WORKAROUNDIn dBASE there is a menu option to change the layout of the report (page header in Title band = NO). Once this change is made, the report should transport properly
STATUSThis behavior is by design.
MORE INFORMATIONNOTE: dBASE is manufactured by Borland International Inc., a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.
