FIX: Set Library Command Fails in FoxPro for Macintosh

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FoxPro for Macintosh, version 2.5c

SYMPTOMS

Issuing the command SET LIBRARY TO <LibName.prg> fails and gives this error message: "API Library not found."

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in FoxPro version 2.60a for the Macintosh.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. In the Command window, type the following:

    MODIFY COMM TEST

  2. Add the following lines:

    FUNCTION TESTPROG RETURN DATE()

  3. Save it as TEST.PRG.

  4. In the Command window, type this command:

    SET LIBRARY TO test.prg

  5. FoxPro fails, and gives the error message "API Library not found."
