The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FoxPro for Macintosh, version 2.6a

SYMPTOMS

When the opaque style is specified for the display of a bitmap file, the background of the bitmap matches the background color of the current output window, instead of the white background color in the bitmap file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro 3.0b for Macintosh.

MORE INFORMATION

Steps to Reproduce Problem

Type the following commands in the Command window:

   * The first 3 commands make sure that the FoxPro screen is active
   * and is the default color of gray
   ACTIVATE WINDOW screen
   SET COLOR TO
   CLEAR
   @ 2,2 SAY SYS(2004)+"fox.pct" BITMAP STYLE "Q"

Note that the area around the FoxPro head is not white. Instead, it matches the gray background color of the main FoxPro window.
