FIX: Numeric Field Erroneously Prints Asterisks in a Report

Last reviewed: October 29, 1997

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, version 2.6a

SYMPTOMS

Under certain conditions, a numeric field on a report erroneously prints asterisks (numeric overflow) instead of a number. This occurs when a memo field with a relative position of "Top-Field can Stretch" is placed directly above the numeric field, and it does not consistently appear on every page of the report.

WORKAROUND

Reposition the numeric field so that it is not directly below the memo field.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visual FoxPro 3.0 for Windows.
