Global Village and other fax software that ships with many PowerMacs may cause the system software or Visual FoxPro to lock up when a fax is received.

There may be other non-background intensive fax software that will not lock- up Visual FoxPro when a fax is received.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
