The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe setup created by the Visual FoxPro Setup Wizard requires administrator privileges when run under Windows NT. If you are not logged on with administrator privileges, you will receive the following error message when running the setup:
"Installation of this product requires system administrator privileges" CAUSEThe user must be logged in with administrator privileges for setup to perform all of its operations.
RESOLUTIONIt is possible to bypass the portion of the setup routine that checks for administrator privileges. NOTE: It is important to recognize that bypassing this step could cause the setup to fail due to a lack of necessary privileges. The following steps describe how to modify the setup to bypass the check for administrator privileges:
