STATUS

This problem appears to have been corrected in Visual FoxPro version 5.0a for Windows that ships with Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 2.

MORE INFORMATION

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Install the United States (US) version of Visual FoxPro version 5.0a (there is no Japanese localized version of Visual FoxPro 5.0a) under Japanese Windows 95.

  2. Type in some Japanese Characters in the Visual FoxPro Command window.

NOTE: Instead of Japanese characters, unreadable characters appear.
