PRB: ACOPY() from 2-D Array Can Create 1-D ArrayLast reviewed: June 27, 1995Article ID: Q88233 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf an application creates a two-dimensional array with the DIMENSION X(5,1) statement, and then uses the ACOPY() function to create a second array that is a copy of the first, the resulting array is a one-dimensional array.
STATUSThis behavior is by design. When one of the dimensions of a two-dimensional array is 1, the array is essentially a one-dimensional array. Based on this information, the ACOPY() function creates a one-dimensional array.
