The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, version 2.0

SYMPTOMS

In early (prior to 9/26/91) releases of FoxPro 2.0 for MS-DOS, when a READ window that contains no new FoxPro 2.0 features is open, a Desk Accessory is activated (brought forward over the READ window), and the Desk Accessory is closed, the cursor in the READ window moves to another field.

CAUSE

This behavior indicates an incompatibility between FoxPro versions 1.02 and 2.0 for MS-DOS. If the READ window uses any FoxPro version 2.0 features, the cursor is placed in the first GET field or the GET field that was clicked to bring the READ window forward.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS releases dated prior to September 26, 1991. This problem was corrected in the Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS release dated September 26, 1991.
