FIX: Resolving "Screen File Invalid" Error Message

  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, version 2.0

SYMPTOMS

In some early (prior to 3/25/92) releases of FoxPro 2.0 for MS-DOS, the error message "Screen File Invalid" appears when the screen file is opened for editing.

CAUSE

The Window Footer text region is filled with blank spaces instead of text.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS releases dated prior to March 25, 1992. This problem was corrected in the Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS release dated March 25, 1992.
