  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, version 2.0

SYMPTOMS

In a Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS application, the Activate window command generates an error if the application was started at the MS- DOS prompt.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS released September 26, 1991.

To reproduce this problem, do the following:

  1. Create a FoxPro application (for example, MYPROG.PRG) that contains the following code:

          ACTIVATE WINDOW COMMAND IN WINDOW hidecomm
    

  2. To start FoxPro and run the application, type the following at the MS-DOS prompt:

          FOXPRO MYPROG.PRG
