CTRL+P Not Allowed as FoxPro Menu Builder Shortcut Key

Last reviewed: June 27, 1995
Article ID: Q92965
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.0, 2.5, and 2.5a
  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5 and 2.5a

Because the CTRL+P key combination is reserved by MS-DOS to echo console output to the printer, the FoxPro Menu Builder does not allow the user to assign the CTRL+P combination as a shortcut key.

The CTRL+P key combination also cannot be used in the following commands where the KEY keyword is used: DEFINE BAR, DEFINE MENU, DEFINE PAD, and DEFINE POPUP.
