PRB: Not Running on a 386 DPMI Implementation

SYMPTOMS

An attempt to run FoxPro version 2.5 or 2.5a for Windows fails with the error message "Not running on a 386 DPMI implementation."

CAUSE

Windows is not running in 386 enhanced mode.

RESOLUTION

To run FoxPro for Windows, Microsoft Windows must be running in 386 enhanced mode. To determine the mode in which Windows is running, make the Windows Program Manager the active application and choose About Program Manager from the Help menu.
