Extraneous Characters in Printed Reports

SUMMARY

When you are using user-defined functions (UDFs) in a report, extraneous or irrelevant characters may be inserted in the printed output if SET TALK is ON. However, the Report Writer Page Preview option will not display the extraneous information.

MORE INFORMATION

If SET TALK is ON, command processing information is directed to the screen or window. If SET PRINTER is also ON, the processing information is additionally directed to the printer. The default value of TALK is ON.
