Error Message Appendix Should Specify 225 Work Areas

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.5 and 2.5a

Appendix A of the "Developer's Guide" states that selecting a work area outside the range 1 to 25 is the cause for certain errors. The errors should specify that the range is 1 to 225 for the 32-bit version of FoxPro (the Extended version, FOXPROX.EXE) and 1 to 25 for the 16-bit of FoxPro (the Standard version, FOXPRO.EXE).

The three error messages are as follows:

  • ALIAS ["<alias>"] not found. (13)
  • ALL work areas in use. (1721)
  • Cannot access selected database. (1152)
