The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5, 2.5a, and 2.5b
  • Microsoft FoxPro for MS-DOS, versions 2.5, 2.5a, and 2.5b
  • Microsoft FoxPro for Macintosh, version 2.5b

There is a documentation error on page L3-563 in the "Language Reference" manual for FoxPro for MS-DOS and FoxPro for Windows and in the Help files for the MS-DOS, Windows, and Macintosh platforms. The documentation for the HIDE WINDOW command states:

If HIDE WINDOW is issued without any arguments, the active window is
   hidden.

This information is incorrect. If HIDE WINDOW is issued without any arguments, it will return a "Syntax error" message. A window name or list of window names must be included.
