PRB: Can't Run Multiuser Version on Stand-Alone Machine

SYMPTOMS

Databases are open for exclusive use on a stand-alone machine when running FoxPro/LAN version 2.0 or any version of 2.5.

CAUSE

EXCLUSIVE is set to ON or SHARE.EXE has not been loaded.

RESOLUTION

Set EXCLUSIVE to OFF by typing "SET EXCLUSIVE OFF" (without the quotation marks) in the Command window or by placing the command EXCLUSIVE=OFF in the CONFIG.FP or CONFIG.FPW file.

SHARE should also be loaded in the CONFIG.SYS or AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
