How to Change the Default Desktop Font

SUMMARY

The desktop font in FoxPro for Windows is the font that is used by all commands that write information to the desktop, for example, the "?" command, the APPEND command, and query outputs. This font can be changed to any font that is available in Windows.

To change the desktop font, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

  1. Hold down the SHIFT key while choosing Font from the Text menu.

  2. Select the font, style, and size you want.

Method 2

  1. Edit the FOXPRO.INI file in the Windows directory (usually C:\WINDOWS).

  2. In the [FoxPro] section of the FOXPRO.INI file, set FontName= to the font you want (the font must be available within Windows).

  3. Set FontStyle= to the desired font style.

  4. Set FontSize= to the desired font point size.
