SET VIEW from FoxPro 2.0 Works Differently in 2.5Last reviewed: June 27, 1995Article ID: Q99617 |

SUMMARYThe SET VIEW COMMAND functions differently for VIEWS created with Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS than it does for VIEWS created with FoxPro versions 2.5 and 2.5a for MS-DOS and FoxPro versions 2.5 and 2.5a for Windows. When you issue the SET VIEW TO command for a VIEW created in FoxPro 2.0, the default directory must be the same as the default directory in effect at the time the VIEW was created. VIEWs created in FoxPro 2.5 and 2.5a for either platform can be opened even if the default directories are different. A problem may occur if a VIEW created in FoxPro 2.0 is opened in FoxPro 2.5 or 2.5a for either platform with a different default directory. Changing the default directory to the FoxPro 2.0 default allows the VIEW to open the databases if their directory locations remain the same.
