FP Distribution Kit Library Files Documented Incorrectly

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FoxPro Distribution Kit for MS-DOS, versions 2.5x, 2.6x

The documentation for the Microsoft FoxPro Distribution Kit for MS-DOS incorrectly lists the .ESL library files as FOXPRO.ESL and FOXPROX.ESL, and the .ESO library file as FOXPRO.ESO.

The correct names for the .ESL library files are:

  • FoxPro 2.5x: FOXD2500.ESL, FOXDX250.ESL, FOXD2500.ESO
  • FoxPro 2.6x: FOXD2600.ESL, FOXDX260.ESL, FOXD2600.ESO

This change in filenames was made to help with version control in installations running multiple platforms.

NOTE: This information is contained in the DKREADME.TXT file that is placed in the directory where the FoxPro Distribution Kit for MS-DOS is installed.
