SYMPTOMSWhen you attempt to create a disk-based web in a subfolder where the upper level folder does not already exist, you will receive the following error:
Cannot create the folder, "c:\<folder>\<subfolder>".where <folder> is the folder that does not already exist and subfolder is the content root.
CAUSEMicrosoft FrontPage 98 will only create the top level folder, it will not generate multiple folder levels when creating a disk-based web.
RESOLUTIONCreate the upper level folder in Windows Explorer before using FrontPage Explorer to create the root web.

STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
