Last reviewed: March 18, 1998

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft FrontPage 98 for Windows

SYMPTOMS

In FrontPage Explorer, when you use select the Publish Changed Pages Only option in the Publish dialog box to publish a Web to a Web server, links to images that have been moved since the last time the web was published will break.

NOTE: To locate the Publish Changed Pages Only option, click Publish FrontPage Web on the File menu.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if you have not installed the FrontPage Server Extensions on the target Web server. The act of moving images from one location to another is not considered a change by the Publish Changed Pages Only command.

RESOLUTION

  1. Open the web in FrontPage Explorer.

  2. On the File menu, click Publish FrontPage Web.

  3. Click to clear the "Publish changed pages only" check box.

  4. Click OK.
